Interview with Lilifeng: Driving Innovation Towards a Green Future

Interviewer: Today, we are joined by Lilifeng, the General Manager of Jiangxi Mingxin , you’ve been a pioneer in innovation, especially since graduating from Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Can you tell us more about your journey and achievements?

Lilifeng: Absolutely. After graduating, I dedicated over a decade to advancing manufacturing technology. With my team, we secured three national invention patents and over 20 utility model patents. As the General Manager, I’ve led our company through significant transformations in industry development and management, earning numerous accolades for technological advancements and substantial tax contributions.

Interviewer: That's impressive! Since joining Jiangxi Mingxin in 2005, you've held various roles. How did these experiences shape your leadership and approach to innovation?

Lilifeng: My roles as Assistant General Manager, Director of the Engineering R&D Center, Sales Manager, Deputy General Manager, and now General Manager, allowed me to stay connected to my engineering roots. I focused on developing products that meet market demands, forming a robust R&D team, and establishing a city-level engineering innovation center. We aimed to foster young talents and drive new product development.

Interviewer: In 2015, you seized a major opportunity with urban mining. Can you elaborate on this initiative?

Lilifeng: Yes, in 2015, we embraced the national focus on urban mining and began developing eco-friendly metal sorting and recycling equipment for electronic waste. Through rigorous improvements and testing, our team created a comprehensive set of equipment that has significantly improved the environmental and economic efficiency of e-waste processing,recycling plant & machinery. This project won the Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and the Ganzhou Science and Technology Progress Award in 2015.

Interviewer: Your philosophy on innovation seems central to your success. How do you integrate innovation into your company's strategy?

Lilifeng: Innovation is the foundation of our development. We continually transform innovative ideas into productivity and competitive advantage. By investing in new projects, like the comprehensive recycling center for household appliances and hazardous waste disposal at Gushang Industrial Park, we’ve significantly enhanced our technological capabilities and market competitiveness. This approach has led to new products, patents, and improved company efficiency.

Interviewer: How do you see the future of Jiangxi Mingxin in terms of technological innovation and market leadership?

Lilifeng: We are committed to creating a strong innovation team, developing new products, and serving society. By integrating our intellectual property strategy with market mechanisms, we aim to enhance our core competitiveness and contribute to the industrial and technological advancement of our city.
