Li Genming’s story is a tale of resilience and ingenuity. From a modest initial investment of 30,000 yuan to a thriving enterprise worth 100 million yuan, and from an unemployed worker to a senior engineer with 7 national technology patents, his journey is truly remarkable.

Li Genming:

"In the late 1980s, after a company restructuring, I found myself unemployed. But I can not let that discourage me. I scraped together 30,000 yuan to start a metallurgical equipment factory. In the beginning, I faced numerous challenges: finding workers was tough, and I lacked management skills, so I had to seek further education. I wore many hats—acting as the factory director, salesperson, and frontline technician."

Li’s determination and belief that “There’s no obstacle you can't overcome” helped him push through the tough times. Through years of relentless effort, his small factory grew into a robust enterprise. By 2003, he had established Jiangxi Shicheng Mingxin Equipment Co., Ltd., employing over 100 people.

Li Genming:

"As market competition intensified, I needed to enhance our products' core competitiveness. During a business trip to Qingyuan, Guangdong, I observed that local methods for recycling waste circuit boards—burning and chemical soaking—were both environmentally harmful and costly. This inspired me to develop a new, eco-friendly, and cost-effective recycling method.

I quickly assembled a team to research and refine this idea. Within 8 months, we successfully developed a specialized crushing technology for waste circuit boards, which was granted a national patent. The product’s market debut attracted orders from Singapore, Malaysia, and Japan."

Li firmly believes that continuous innovation is the key to sustained business success. Collaborating with institutions like the Beijing General Research Institute of Mining & Metallurgy, he has developed over 20 new products, six of which have received national patents. These include advanced waste recycling plant machinery and a scrap electric motor recycling machine. The "Mingxin" trademark is now a provincial famous brand. His company’s project for producing 3,000 sets of comprehensive waste appliance processing equipment annually received an 8 million yuan grant from the central budget. Among his patented technologies are CRT glass cutting(the equipment to recycle small kitchen appliances),lithium battery recycling machine and wire cable granulator recycling machine, further solidifying his brand’s reputation.
